The Khmer Empire made many different temples that represented different gods, places etc.
Pre Rup
Pre Rup is in Cambodia about 1km south of the Eastern Mebon and is a great spot to watch the sunset.
Pre Rup means "Turning the body" which means a traditional method of cremation .
Pre Rup gets absolutely crowded with people at around 6-7pm to watch the beautiful sunset set over the rice fields and jungle.
Angkor Wat
The Angkor Wat is one of the most archeological sites in the world, The Angkor Wat is measured 400km2 big (Including Forests).
Angkor was the capital of the Khmer Empire from the 9th century till the 15th century.
Bayon Temple
Bayon Temple was built around 1190ad by King Jayavarman VII in Siem Reap in Cambodia.
Bayon Temple was built in Angkor Thom with 2 walls full of bas-relief scenes with more then 11,000 carved figures stretching over 1.2 kilometers of wall.
The bas-reliefs were probably originally coloured but over the years they have in mist definitely faded over the years.
